Jusant – a climbing game from the studio Don’t Nod
French Don’t Nod (Remember Me, Life Is Strange, Vampyr) continues to surprise with the variety of genres in which it works. After adventures, action and action/adventure, the studio plans to release three games only in 2023. This is an action/RPG Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, visual novel Harmony: The Fall of Reverie (released a week ago and we are already preparing a review) and one more game – climbing action Jusant.
According to the description of the developers, Jusant is a meditative climbing action game with puzzles. Judging by what we see in the video, it’s like an action/adventure of the Tomb Raider type, except for the rock climbing. Also, it seems that the events of Jusant take place on another planet, and the hero/heroine of the game, together with a funny companion who helps awaken the forces of nature, must climb a high rock/tower to unravel the secrets of the civilization that lived here before. The authors say that players can move at their own pace, explore different paths, improve their own equipment, etc.
Jusant looks really calming, if of course you don’t have a fear of heights. The game has a demo on Steam so you can rate it yourself.
Jusant is scheduled for release in Fall 2023 for Windows PC on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
