The rotating bezel will return to the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic

Samsung is preparing for the release of a new line of Galaxy smartwatches, the announcement of which will traditionally take place during the presentation of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 as soon as this summer. MySmartPrice and insider OnLeaks shared preliminary information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic smartwatch.

At this time, design renderings and specifications of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, which will be positioned by Samsung as a premium model, have been published. At the same time, to the joy of fans of the series, the rotating bezel, which was one of the key features of the design of previous generations of the Galaxy Watch, will return to the watch.

According to MySmartPrice, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is one of two Samsung smartwatches to be unveiled at the Unpacked 2023 event, though the company has yet to confirm official launch details.

OnLeaks suggests the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will replace Samsung’s current flagship watch – Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. In terms of design, however, the Watch 6 Classic will share significant similarities with the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, including a circular display, a rotating bezel, and home and back buttons on the right edge. A new magnetic loop strap can be seen in the render, hinting at multiple strap options for the watch.

This leak suggests that the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will offer a larger Super AMOLED screen than the Watch 5 Pro’s 1.4-inch, likely 1.47-inch display with a resolution of 470×470 pixels. There is also speculation about a larger 425 mAh battery, beating the 361 mAh battery in the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is expected to retain its focus on tracking physical activity and sports, as well as receive a number of improvements that will allow it to integrate more closely into the ecosystem of Samsung devices. However, we will learn more details about the company’s new smartwatches closer to the presentation.
