Microsoft will make the Windows Copilot chatbot part of Windows 11
Microsoft does not plan to stop there and will continue to integrate AI tools into its products. A new addition will be the Windows Copilot chatbot, which will be integrated into Windows 11 operating system.
According to Microsoft, this move will make Windows the first PC platform to provide users with centralized assistance with artificial intelligence, combining Bing chat with third-party plugins. Windows Copilot should provide the ability to perform various tasks by communicating with the user in a separate text field.
Access to the chatbot will be located on the taskbar, and after activation it will appear in the sidebar, which will remain unchanged in all programs and windows, acting as a personal assistant. Windows Copilot will be able to perform common tasks, for example, launch a certain program, change settings, or even turn on the desired playlist in Spotify.
One of the most used functions in Windows is copy and paste. Microsoft promises that the chatbot will not only be able to copy and paste the data the user needs, but also rewrite, summarize or explain their content.
In general, Windows Copilot will be similar to Bing Chat, and will be able to answer a wide range of questions. For example, if a user intends to call relatives or friends in another country, it can quickly check the local time. In addition, if you are planning a trip abroad, you can ask Windows Copilot to find flights and accommodation.
You can expand the capabilities of the chatbot thanks to the Bing and ChatGPT plugins. Microsoft plans to actively involve third-party developers in their creation. Windows Copilot itself will be available in preview for Windows 11 users this June.
