Nokia 106 (2023) – finally a new phone with Micro SD, FM radio and Snake

I’m sure you’re already tired of the same faceless smartphones, which differ only in the camera unit. Another thing is the immortal classic from Nokia with a physical keyboard, FM radio and the legendary Snake. And if you thought that such new phones could no longer be found, don’t be in a hurry to be sad – Nokia Mobile has announced the Nokia 106 model, which is capable of giving you a sense of nostalgia.

Nokia 106 is a 2G phone with a battery that lasts for 12 hours of talk time or 22 days of standby time. Up to 2,000 contacts and up to 500 SMS can be stored in the phone’s memory. The phone is charged using no less old-school microUSB.

The FM radio works both with and without a headset, so you can catch up on local news or listen to music at any time. Although the microSD card, for which a slot is provided in the Nokia 106, helps with the latter. You can store up to 8,000 favorite tracks on it. They are played using the built-in MP3 player. Also, in order not to get bored, users are offered the Snake game.

The Nokia 106 is available in one of three colors: red, turquoise and black. The cost of the novelty has not yet been specified, but it can be assumed that it will be very competitive.

In addition, Nokia Mobile introduced the Nokia 105 and Nokia 110 phones. The former is a slightly simpler model, as it lacks the Micro SD slot and the Snake. But the second, on the contrary, additionally offers a rear QVGA camera.
