Microsoft has presented the Designer tool for AI-powered design in preview

Microsoft presented the Designer tool for creating designs based on artificial intelligence in a preview with an expanded set of functions. This is reported by TechCrunch.

It lets you create designs for presentations, posters, digital cards, invitations, graphics, and more to share, including on social media. Designer uses user-generated content and AI to transform text into images from OpenAI.

“Since October, the AI models have steadily improved, and we’ve worked to weave these powerful capabilities throughout the Designer canvas in even more delightful ways while keeping you in control,” explained Microsoft 365 Consumer General Manager Bryan Rognier in his blog.

Designer can now generate text captions and hashtags for social media posts, offering the user several ideas to choose from. At the same time, it is capable of creating animated visual effects, including backgrounds and text transitions based on artificial intelligence.

Over time, this tool will receive additional editing functions. For example, it will be able to place an object in a certain place of the graphic and automatically fill the rest of the image. Future “erase” and “replace background” options will allow users to paint over objects, people, or the background.

Designer will be free during the preview period. It will be available on the Designer website and in the Microsoft Edge browser via the sidebar.

We remind you that Microsoft abandons production Microsoft-branded keyboards, mice, and webcams, the company plans to focus on Surface-branded accessories instead.
