The Patriot air defense system from Germany is already in Ukraine

The MIM-104 Patriot air defense system from Germany has already arrived in Ukraine. This is reported by Militarnyi with a reference to the official website of the German government.

The latest update of the list of weapons supplied by Germany to Ukraine includes 16 additional Mercedes-Benz Zetros trucks, two patrol cars for border guards and MIM-104 Patriot with the missiles.

The transfer information appeared on January 5, 2023, based on the results of the conversation between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US President Joe Biden.

The training of 70 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Germany began on February 2, 2023. Courses on mastering the Patriot air defense system took place at an accelerated pace – six days a week. At the same time, another group of Ukrainian military mastered the MIM-104 air defense system Patriot in the USA starting as early as January 16, 2023.

We will remind, theoretically, the MIM-104 Patriot in the PAC-3 MSE (Patriot Advanced Capability 3 Missile Segment Enhancement) configuration can shoot down ballistic targets, such as long-range 48Н6DM anti-aircraft missiles of the S-400 complexes and cruise missiles of the Kh-22 “Burya” type.
