A new Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock accessory has appeared in Microsoft’s assortment. The name of the device suggests that it is equipped with Thunderbolt 4 (and therefore USB4) ports for connecting peripherals to your laptop or tablet. The hub allows you to connect two 4K monitors with a frequency of 60 Hz, and also has an output power of 96 W, which is enough to charge many portable PCs.
The Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock offers a large number of connectors. On the back panel you will find two USB-C, two USB-A, 3.5 mm audio jack, RJ45 (2.5 Gbps). Additionally, one USB-C and one USB-A are placed on the front panel. Tactile indicators on the back allow users to locate ports more easily. The body of the docking station and the power supply unit are 20% ocean plastic.
The Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock can be used not only with Surface gadgets, but also with other devices that have Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 ports. The cost of the new device is $299,99.
