Galaxy S23 FE will get an Exynos 2200 processor and will be released by the end of 2023, insiders say
Citing insider information, SamMobile writes that Samsung plans to release a new smartphone in the Galaxy S FE series – the Galaxy S23 FE – in the fourth quarter of 2023. And unlike the series Galaxy S23 released earlier this year and powered exclusively by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the Galaxy S23 FE will get last year’s flagship Exynos 2200 chip in all markets, including the US.
The Exynos 2200 was used in the Galaxy S22 series and was the first Samsung processor with an AMD graphics accelerator. At the time of the announcement of the Galaxy S23 FE, this chip will be almost two years old, but it seems that Samsung is confident that this will not be a problem for a model more affordable than flagships.
Moving on to other insiders on the Galaxy S23 FE specs, one of the most significant upgrades could be the 50MP main camera, which is a significant improvement over the 12MP camera used in the S20 FE and S21 FE. Samsung upgraded the main camera to a 50-megapixel sensor on the Galaxy S22 and S23, so it makes sense that the S23 FE will get the same upgrade.
In addition, as reported by insiders, the S23 FE will be available in two memory variants: 6/128 GB and 8/256 GB. The smartphone will have a 4500 mAh battery, the same as its predecessors. However, it is possible that Samsung could add support for faster charging at 25W or even 45W, although this has yet to be confirmed.
