Gurman: iOS 17 will receive several “most requested features”

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman shared information about the new version of the iOS operating system, reports 9to5mac. According to his data, Apple initially planned to focus on bug fixes and performance improvements, so iOS 17 was not expected to receive many new features. Moreover, the priority of the company is the development of the Apple Reality headset.

However, Gurman notes that Apple’s strategy has changed somewhat. iOS 17 will offer several innovations “that are nice to have on a smartphone.” These are the most requested functions from users, but it is not yet specified which ones. iOS 17 is codenamed “Dawn”.

The announcement of iOS 17 is expected to take place during the traditional conference for WWDC developers, which is usually held in June. At the same time, we should see other Apple operating systems: watchOS 10, tvOS 17, macOS 14. And, of course, we are waiting for the presentation of a virtual reality headset that will work on the xrOS platform.
