Huawei introduced the Mate X3 foldable smartphone

Huawei Mate X3 is officially presented. The smartphone has received a number of improvements, but it is unlikely to be sold outside of China.

Mate X3 is noticeably lighter than its competitors – it weighs 239 grams, which is, in particular, 24 grams less than the Galaxy Fold4. The external 6.4″ OLED display has a resolution of 2504×1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20.9:9. The main 7.85″ OLED screen with a resolution of 2496×2224 pixels has an aspect ratio of 8:7.1. The matrix refresh rate is 120 Hz (the external display has an adaptive frequency of 1-120 Hz).

Huawei claims that the novelty has IPX8 moisture protection (similar to the Galaxy Fold4). The company also added support for two-way satellite communication. The only thing missing is 5G support, as Huawei is banned from using 5G networks in a number of countries, so the company installed a 4G version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

The Mate X3 received a 50 MP main camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12 MP telephoto lens. Each of the displays has an 8 MP front camera. The battery capacity is 4800 mAh, there is support for 66 W wired and 50 W wireless charging.

Huawei Mate X3 can be purchased at a price of $1,999 for the 12/256 GB version. The cost of the 512 GB version is $2,050, and the 1 TB version is $2,340.
