Some 8BitDo gamepads now work with Apple devices
8BitDo has added compatibility with Apple devices for six of its gamepads. From now on, the 8BitDo Ultimate Controller 2.4GHz, Pro 2, SN30 Pro, SN30 Pro Plus, SN30 Pro for Android and Lite SE models can be connected to devices with iOS 16.3+, iPadOS 16.3+, macOS 13.2+ and tvOS 16.3+.
The company notes that support for more controllers will appear soon. Users need to install the latest version of gamepad software. This can be done using Firmware Updater for Windows or Mac.
Users can connect up to four 8BitDo controllers simultaneously (provided the game supports multiplayer). At the moment, not all functions of gamepads are supported, you can read more details on the manufacturer’s website. As for game compatibility, the company says the accessories will work with all games from the App Store and Apple Arcade that support MFi controllers.
