Microsoft has redesigned and optimized Outlook for Macs with Apple Silicon chipsets, which should make it faster and improve performance. Moreover, the company has made Outlook for macOS free to download and use.

Previously, Microsoft offered a free version of Outlook only for iOS. macOS users had to buy a Microsoft 365 subscription or pay for a license.

Microsoft Outlook for Mac is now free

Now you can download Outlook from App Store and use without any fee. A widget is offered in addition to the main application, and soon a menu with a calendar will be available on the top of the macOS. In addition, the company announced the Outlook Profiles feature, which integrates with Focus mode in macOS. It allows you to choose specific accounts for different profiles, so you will not be distracted by personal messages while working and, on the contrary, you can hide all your work when you rest.
