Winamp is now also a streaming service
Last August, we reported that the cult player Winamp for the first time in four years got an update. Now the developer Llama Group has announced a new version of Winamp and the launch of a streaming service based on it.
One of the main advantages of the new platform will be a relatively high level of income for musicians. They will be able to receive up to 85% of the share that will be generated by their fans. The latter will be able to subscribe and receive exclusive content, rights to use tracks, NFT, etc.
On March 15, the Winamp Fanzone section will be available for musicians. They will have a month to set up their profiles and create subscription levels. And on April 15, the platform will open for all users. You can listen to music, podcasts, radio, audiobooks in the new Winamp web player, which will also be available as a separate application for Windows, Android and iOS.
