Take-Two reported financial success last quarter: GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are still selling like hotcakes

Despite the fact that GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are already, to put it mildly, not new games at all, they are still sold at such a pace that most modern projects would envy them.

In the financial report for the last quarter of last year, Take-Two reported that Grand Theft Auto V has sold a total of 175 million copies in almost 10 years since its release (the game was released in September 2013). Taking into account that as of March of last year, the circulation of GTA 5 was 165 million, it can be noted that in 2022, in just six months, as many as 10 million new players bought the game.

As for Red Dead Redemption 2, five years after its release, this western reached the mark of 50 million copies sold (+5 million in the last quarter). Well, it seems that GTA 6 will be released soon…
