Google handed over 30,000 Chromebooks to Ukrainian teachers

The Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Education and Culture, and Google, with the support of UNESCO, launched the joint initiative “A laptop for every teacher”. Within the project, as of October 31, 2022, about 30,000 Chromebooks out of the planned 50,000 have already been delivered to the regions of Ukraine. This is reported by Ministry of Digital Transformation.

Laptops are necessary for Ukrainian teachers to make the educational process accessible and safe in the conditions of martial law.

About 5,000 were delivered to Zhytomyr region and Kyiv. In addition, Lviv region received 2,412 laptops, Volyn region — 1,283, Ternopil region — 1,182, Transcarpathian region — 1,124, Ivano-Frankivsk region — 2,147, and Chernivtsi region — 496.

Another 64 laptops were received by teachers of Luhansk region, who currently work and live in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
