Microsoft is bringing Task Manager back to the Taskbar context menu in Windows 11

One of the most frequent complaints about Windows 11 after the release was the significantly reduced functionality of the Taskbar, especially its context menu – it now contains only one item, the settings of the Taskbar itself. And one of the main items that users missed was the Task Manager — it can now be launched only from the context menu of the “Start” button (or via the Ctrl-Alt-Del hotkeys).

Well, Microsoft finally listened to the wishes of users – in a new Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25211, which became available in the Developer Channel, a second item — Task Manager — appeared in the context menu of the Taskbar.

In addition, in this image, the ability to rearrange icons in the system tray was added, the Snipping Tool learned to automatically save screenshots, and users participating in the Office Insider Program can try the new version of Outlook.
