NASA has launched a website for 3D space exploration
In 2010, NASA released a free software package called NASA Eyes Visualisation. It realistically simulated spaceships, planets, and other elements in our solar system based on real data. And a few days ago, the agency launched NASA Eyes in the format of a website so now anyone with a computer can check out certain events in our solar system, reports PC Gamer publication.
The NASA Eyes website provides users with a real-time 3D visualization of the Solar System. In addition, you can experiment with the controls to move the time as you see fit. Clicking on objects will give you more information about them, you can also move around them and zoom in or out. High textures can even be included to load the surface of some objects. This web browser also has a telescope mode that allows you to land on a planet and see the night sky from that point.
NASA Eyes also shows stories on the left side of the screen. They guide users through various research missions in 3D and explain what and how was found using various tools. NASA Eyes is great for learning tons of information about the space agency’s missions, our solar system, and the various planets and moons.
