Video viewing with automatic translation of subtitles into Ukrainian became available on YouTube. This was reported by Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, in his Telegram channel.
He commented on this event as follows:
"At meetings with Google, we repeatedly discussed the availability of the company's services in the Ukrainian language. In particular, subtitles on YouTube.Our team is doing everything to make more global products and services available in Ukrainian. We write letters to companies, conduct negotiations and achieve results."
To display Ukrainian subtitles, it is necessary to enable the display of subtitles (CC — Subtitles/closed captions button in the lower right corner of the player), then select the Ukrainian language in the settings (“gear” button — Subtitles/CC — Auto-translate — Ukrainian).
