Japan wants to create artificial gravity on Moon and proposes to establish a transport connection with Mars

Curiosity about the Moon has increased in the world and Japan is not left behind. Researchers and engineers from Kyoto University and Kajima Corporation have published the plan in three parts, which should help humanity explore space.

The first part of the plan includes the development to create artificial gravity on the Moon. Future space exploration will require humans to stay in low-gravity environments for ever longer periods of time. Prolonged stay in such conditions harms human physiology. According to the new study published in Nature, astronauts lost bone mass after several months in space and did not fully recover even after a year on Earth .

Japanese scientists offer a potential solution to the problem. Their development, called The Glass, aims to establish artificial gravity on the Moon and Mars using centrifugal force.

The project, which seems to have come out of the pages of science fiction, has the appearance of a cone with a radius of 100 m and a height of 400 m. In fact, it is a large centrifuge that makes three rotations per minute and creates inside full Earth gravity in 1G. Scientists plan to build it on the Moon in the second half of this century, which is a very optimistic plan.

The second part of the plan is the concept of a “core biome” to “transport a reductive ecosystem into space.” It should exist inside a structure with artificial gravity and provide people with everything necessary for life in space.

The third part proposes to create a high-speed transport infrastructure that will connect the Moon, Earth and Mars. The project, called Hexatrack, will have at least three stations: on the Mars moon Phobos, in Earth orbit and near the Moon.

Let us remind you that NASA is already exploring new orbit around the Moon and plans to build a nuclear reactor to 2030 . Meanwhile, scientists from the University of Florida managed to grow plants in the moon soil.
