Apple starts producing iPhone 13 in Indіa

Apple Inc seeks to reduce its dependence on the Chinese supply chain. As part of this policy, the tech giant has launched full-scale production of the iPhone 13 in India.

The smartphone is made at a factory owned by Apple’s Taiwanese contract manufacturer Foxconn. The production is located in the city of Sriperumbudur in southern India.

Apple is currently moving certain industries from China to other markets. Including India – the second market for smartphones in the world. The company also plans to assemble iPad tablets here.

iPhone 13 is the fourth model to be produced locally. Production of Apple products in India began in 2017 with the iPhone SE.
